Sea grapes are very popular in Asia where they're considered a delicacy. This seaweed is highly regarded for its succulent appearance, refreshing taste and pleasing "pop" when you eat it.
How to prepare sea grapes?
-Rinse for 10 seconds under running water.
-Soak them in cold water for 5 minutes (reduces saltiness).
-Rinse again and enjoy as salad or with sauces you love.
Take the desired amount of sea grapes out of the package and rinse them for 10 seconds. Then put them in clean, fresh water for around 6 minutes letting them soak (use cold water).
The sea grapes will swell up, soaking up all the water and getting re-hydrated. This step is very important as it’ll take away the saltiness and really make your sea grapes pop in your mouth!
Drain the water, rinse twice and enjoy your crunchy sea grapes with sauces you love, on salads or in soups.
They go very well on their own with soy sauce, lemon juice, wasabi, mayonnaise, chili, cold salads or when used in cooked dishes.
Recommended as crunchy salad booster, snack, appetizer, canapé, antipasti, entree, hors d’oeuvre or a decorative sideboard.
