This ePalZoneXP Mega 2560 R3 Pro Mini board is a small version of the Arduino Mega 2560 R3 board. It's completely compatible with the original Arduino Mega 2560 R3. Just using the CH340G chip as the USB to serial converter. For the original Arduino Mega 2560 R3 has a big board size, some time it maybe not easy to embed it into your system, the ePalZoneXP Mega 2560 Pro Mini board will be a good choice for your system. It's cute and small size. Also based on the strong voltage regulator, this board has a high current ouput ability(1A) and good short-circuit protection. For the CH340G driver, it's easy to get it from google. Please send us a message if you can't solve the USB driver problem.
You don't need to worry if you can use Arduino IDE to program it. You can use it the same as Arduino Mega2560 board. They are fully compatible.
Uses Type-C USB port. If you have other type-c phone cable in hands, then you don't need to buy a new one.
Imagin if there is no short-circuit protection function, if you carelessly connect an I/O port to GND signal, the board may smoke. This board has such function, and you don't need to worry about short-circuit carelessly.
The on board 5V voltage regulator is high quality and can provide 1000mA current at most. Usually an LED needs 20mA current to light. The AMS1117 chip some modules uses can only provide 150mA current. Consider if it's enough.
The USB to TTL converter is CH340G. Please install the CH340G driver before Arduino IDE can recognize it.
